How do I grow my web site traffic?
This is one of the key questions you’ll have if you own or run any websites and is one of the most common questions I’m asked.
Before delving into how to achieve more web site traffic the first thing to ask yourself, is what are you going to do them once you’ve got them? What I mean by that is how compelling is your site, how are you going to convert them once you’ve got them to your site and what call to actions are you going to employ on the site.
This is one of the most fundamental questions concerning the Internet and one you must answer if you’re going to make maximum benefit from your website.
That said, how are you going to attract more site visitors?
Deciding the the niche you’re going to attack is key – remember – pick fights you can win, don’t just look at the number of daily or monthly searches, look at the competition each of them has in the current Google Top Ten. How easy is it going to be for you to break into the top 10, will it be within your budget and timescales.
The next way of increasing your web site visitors is to appear higher in the rankings than your competitors, the higher you appear the better and the greater the number of clicks and visits you’ll receive.
In order to grow your ranking then there are 3 main areas you need to thinks about.
1. Make sure your web pages are all optimised (‘on page optimisation’)
2. Grow the number of links you have coming to your website
3. Keep adding new and original content
